Example chess pieces

SmTuning supports a lot of piece sets. Below I show just a few selected examples. You can use any piece shape with any background in any size.

Igor-K pieces are made using graphics painted by Igor Krizanovskij for Open ClipArt library. Here shown on wooden texture in 40x40 size.

The same pieces in largest (64x64) size on stylized brown background and using shadow effect.

Beautiful Fantasy set by Maurizio Monge Here shown on background similar to the one used by original author, in 48x48 size.

Fantasy looks OK also in 40x40.

Spatial is another set by Maurizio Monge. Thanks to the original look it is a perfect choice for variant games (personally I assign Spatial to Atomic and Atomic960). Here shown on red background in smallest (32x32) size.

One more Igor-K, at this time on a dark background.

Shatranj Tamerlane is built using slightly edited pieces from Tamerlane set present in Open ClipArt library. Here shown on grey background in 48x48 size.

Eyes - another original set by Maurizio Monge.

Makruk set is also built using edited pieces from Tamerlane set from Open ClipArt library. Here shown on dark green in 40x40 size.

And, to show all the pleasant details, Fantasy in 64x64.

In total, there are 8 piece sets and 14 backgrounds (not all shown above), which give 112 different combinations, and this list will likely grow in the future. Plenty of choice, even if we remember that there are about 40 different variant games on SchemingMind.
