1.e4 {(0:00)} e5 {(0:00)
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: Didn't had time to prepare an opening, so lets see how it goes }
2.Nf3 {(0:19)} Nc6 {(0:21)} 3.Bc4 {(0:27)} d6 {(0:37)} 4.O-O {(0:29)} Nge7 {(0:39)
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: Ng5 seems tempting, but this is no blitz game
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: Ng5 d5 exd5 Nxd5 d3 maybe? }
5.Ng5 {(3:59)
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: Isn't d5 a book move? Either way, that's the only way I see for him to not give up a pawn for free }
5...d5 {(9:48)} 6.exd5 {(1:35)} Nxd5 {(4:22)
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: Guess Nc3 is another option (other than d3)
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: Mmm, does Nxf7 wins a pawn?!
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: nah, he has Nf6
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: Qf3 looks tempting
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: not sure if I can get anything out of it though }
7.Qf3 {(7:39)} Qxg5 {(4:44)} 8.Bxd5 {(0:24)} Nd8 {(0:49)} 9.d3 {(0:46)
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: Nd8 was too odd, not sure how else he would had gotten out of this w/o material loss though (to lazy to calculate what won't happen already :P) }
9...Qf5 {(3:39)
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: I can play Re1 and have an intermesso if he decides to trade queens, but maybe there's something better here }
10.Re1 {(2:36)} Qxf3 {(1:17)} 11.Rxe5+ {(0:18)
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: I was imagining what if you name yourself "SpanishInquisition" and each time your rival takes time to move, you say: "Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition" XD }
11...Ne6 {(3:53)} 12.Bxf3 {(0:18)} Bd6 {(0:17)} 13.Re1 {(0:03)} O-O {(0:57)} 14.c3 {(2:18)} Rd8 {(4:40)
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: There's not much to talk about right now. I decided to trade development for a pawn & think it was worth it. I don't particulary like knight, but that can change }
15.Be3 {(1:58)} Bf4 {(2:40)} 16.d4 {(1:02)} c6 {(0:52)} 17.g3 {(1:22)} Bxe3 {(0:37)} 18.fxe3 {(0:22)} Ng5 {(0:18)} 19.Nd2 {(0:50)} f5 {(3:16)} 20.h4 {(0:57)
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: Now Ne5 will be a strong place for my knight }
20...Ne4 {(1:30)
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: huh?
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: that just loses another pawn
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: Guess if I keep the bishop, then it'll be easier to force him trade his & have an easy endgame
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: my e pawn is protected too, so Re8 doesn't recuperate the pawn back }
21.Nxe4 {(1:47)} fxe4 {(0:05)} 22.Bxe4 {(0:01)} h5 {(0:14)} 23.Bg6 {(0:15)} Bg4 {(0:05)} 24.e4 {(0:05)
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: And now I'll be able to trade the bishop with Bf5 next
TragicPrinceFer(1710) whispers: 111 Pretty much this endgame is a win for White }
24...Rd7 {(2:56)
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: heh, this makes it even easier me for me to trade }
25.Bf5 {(0:50)} Bxf5 {(0:23)} 26.exf5 {(0:03)} Rf8 {(0:03)} 27.Re5 {(0:21)} Rf6 {(1:36)} 28.Rae1 {(0:24)} Kf7 {(0:19)} 29.Kg2 {(0:23)} g6 {(0:22)} 30.fxg6+ {(0:53)} Rxg6 {(0:39)} 31.Rxh5 {(0:16)
TragicPrinceFer(1710) whispers: 111 It's official. White owns the full board. }
31...Rd5 {(1:11)
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: He shouldn't had disconnected his rooks, I was expecting to give up a pawn but now I have 3
SamuraiGoroh(1730) whispers: Guess 4 with Rh7+ }
32.Rh7+ {(0:45)} Rg7 {(0:04)} 33.Rxg7+ {(0:01)} Kxg7 {(0:03)} 34.Re7+ {(0:01)}
{Levertov resigns} 1-0
samuraigoroh (2017-05-20): Forgot the knight was pinned so I was indeed able to play 7. Nxf7 Lastly I'm unable to remember simple stuff like that, but luckily haven't been punished with that (although last game I horribly calculated the board and my rival wasn't scared of empty threats, so he did beat me :P)
joshuar (2017-05-20): GG. Reviewing the game now I was surprised to see you avoid The Fried Liver setup with Nxf7, but that's only because it's one of my favorites.
