smallblackcat(2241) whispers: ok so we aren't following the previous games }
4...c5 {(0:11)} 5.a3 {(0:03)} Bxc3+ {(0:02)} 6.bxc3 {(0:02)} Qc7 {(0:00)} 7.Qg4 {(0:05)} f5 {(0:02)} 8.Qh5+ {(0:02)} g6 {(0:07)} 9.Qd1 {(0:03)} Bd7 {(0:01)} 10.Nf3 {(0:04)
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: still in my wheelhouse though }
10...Ba4 {(0:28)} 11.Rb1 {(0:53)
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: reminds me of my friendly game with schachbjm
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: he recommended c4 somewhere, trying to remember where
jaberwock(2009) whispers: I have never in my life played the French Defense, which is the dullest of all openings. - W Steinitz }
11...Nd7 {(1:34)
jaberwock(2009) whispers: then again, my son plays it exclusively, with decent results, like sbc. }
12.Be2 {(0:25)} h6 {(0:54)
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: I need this move at some point anyway
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: don't want to play c4 until I have to }
13.O-O {(1:06)} Ne7 {(1:54)
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: this is unsettlingly familiar
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: but I don't think c4 there was any good, just allows Rb4 }
14.c4 {(0:51)
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: yeah there we go
jaberwock(2009) whispers: sharpness
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: gonna need a bit of a think now
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: so many potential line-openings
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: I mean, for now either pawn capture I recapture with my knight and things are ok
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: and if I leave it alone he plays Be3
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: threatening to take twice and take on b7
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: so..g5 to threaten f4
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: I remember schach hit me with h4 before I could play g5
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: cxd5 Nxd5 Bc4 Ndb6 is also an important sequence I think
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: if g5 h4 g4 N moves...can I take on d4 myself?
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: seems possible }
14...g5 {(5:37)
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: ok looking a bit deeper
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: h4 g4 Ne1 cxd4 Qxd4 Qxe5 Qxe5 Nxe5 Bb2 Ng6 f4 gxf3 Nxf3 appears to win my knight
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: if I insert Nc6 somewhere...my Ba4 gets cutoff and it's already undefended
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: maybe he just plays Bb2 and the point is moot }
15.Qd2 {(21:10)
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: ok I was ready for several different moves, that wasn't one of them
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: I don't really understand what it does, maybe prepares Rd1 }
15...g4 {(2:26)
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: lets try to stop that rook from coming out }
16.Ne1 {(0:42)} O-O-O {(0:29)
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: I was looking at this vs Bb2, looks even better here
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: the line openings work better for me I think, and meanwhile I can push my kingside pawns
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: I'm never quite sure whether to play Kb8 in these winawer situations, cos of the pin on b7 }
17.Nd3 {(1:44)
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: I guess I can just move on to a8 though }
17...Kb8 {(2:16)
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: lets try to get my king safe
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: I should have considered this before playing g4, but I don't necessarily think the knight on f4 is a huge deal
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: I can reorganise a bit with Nf8, Bd7-c8 }
18.Nf4 {(1:43)
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: Qc6 seems too passive }
18...Nf8 {(0:48)
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: disconnecting rooks isnt ideal either, but at the moment I need them doing separate things anyway }
19.dxc5 {(0:42)
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: ah that's not bad timing
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: if I play Qxc5 then Rb4 Bc6 cuts off my Q from returning
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: maybe just leave the pawn...Bc6 and what does he do?
juoni(1947) whispers: go wild and take e5
jaszczur(2291) whispers: best for black is wait with ..g5 (...0-0-0)
jaszczur(2291) whispers: and wait with g4 }
19...Bc6 {(4:57)
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: looks interesting }
20.cxd5 {(0:47)} Nxd5 {(0:14)} 21.Rd1 {(0:32)} Rd7 {(0:13)
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: gotta look out for Nxd5 Bxd5 c6 ideas, but not yet
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: this doesnt look too bad though
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: I feel like for the pawn, I get slightly better piece placement
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: Rd7 and Bc6 are nice for defence and potentially attack }
22.Bb2 {(2:19)
jaszczur offers a draw.
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: wow
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: my position might be better than I thought
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: Nxf4 Qxf4 Ng6 Rxd7 Nxf4 Rxc7 Nxe2+ Kf1 Kxc7 Kxe2 Bxg2 hmm
juoni(1947) whispers: Rhh7 looks like a good waiting move
smallblackcat(2241) whispers: well, even given the board position I think jaberwock has a better chance of winning than I do...
smallblackcat accepts the draw request.}
{Game drawn by mutual agreement} 1/2-1/2
jaszczur (2016-10-30): offer draw because must go to job .- this position i want before game: 22..Nf4 23Qf4 Ng6 24Qb4Bd5 25c6!? Bc6 26 Rd6 .Still unclear-black risky be full paralysed , white can missing tactics (like Bg2,Bf3 in some case) . 22.. not take f4 - only 22..h5 is another game (with usefull Nf8,Rh8) but after 23Nd5 Rd5 24Bd4 white can try explore weak black fields (Qg5).
