1.c4 (0:00) Nf6 (0:00) 2.g3 (0:02) g6 (0:33)
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: Boedi doesn't play a lot of standard so I had one game from Leboshnitzel to guess what he'll play. It went 1. c4 Nf6 2. g3 g6 3. Bg2 Bg7 4. Nc3 0-0 5. d4 but I can't really follow it all the way to black's resignation :P
3.Bg2 (0:45) Bg7 (0:06) 4.Nc3 (0:02) O-O (0:02) 5.e4 (0:02) e5 (0:07) 6.Nge2 (0:22) d6 (0:10) 7.d3 (0:17)
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: It's not quite what I was expecting. I assumed he would go for c5 lines but this should be ok for white
7...a5 (0:51)
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: a5 is pretty rare. I'm unsure exactly what the idea is. I was expecting Nc6. I guess castling should be fairly safe
8.O-O (1:33) Na6 (0:27)
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: I guess being a flank opening people are playing all sorts of crazy lines against me. For example Dominickk had 1... g5 and then I've also face xivarmy's weird early b5
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: ok... I better take this at least a bit more seriously. Firstly if knight goes to c5 it is quite hard to dislodge
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: I'm assuming c6 is quite likely. One logical plan is Bg5 and Qd2 although in that case d3 could be weak
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: I think most sensible plan is h3, with a possible Kh2 and f4 while nothing Ng4+ so I don't lose Bg5
9.h3 (4:13)
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: f4 could work well against Nc5 as then d4 can potentially come with tempi
9...c6 (3:16) 10.Kh2 (0:50)
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: Qb6+ is on horizon so Kh2 is basic prophylaxis
10...Rb8 (3:05)
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: b5 is obviously on the cards, is it worthwhile playing a4 to stop it and creating a weakness on b4 or is it best to ignore it?
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: I think ignoring it is good as cxb5 leaves d5 weakened
11.f4 (1:23)
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: that was a dodgy click, was lucky it ended up on f4. Guess I need to be on look out fo rmouseslips :o
11...b5 (0:43) 12.cxb5 (0:05) cxb5 (0:02)
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: so is 13. pxe5 pxe5 14. Bg5 with threat of Nd5 good for white?
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: I guess 14... h6 might just be enough to hold it
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: still feels active so I'll play it
13.fxe5 (3:54) dxe5 (0:06) 14.Bg5 (0:29) Ng4+ (0:42)
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: awful blunder, even mentioned it earlier :P
marjohn(2135) whispers: I like black in this position
15.hxg4 (0:54) Qxg5 (0:04)
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: this is probably resignable
Boedi(2225) whispers: I think he totally missed this Ng4 check. White's position is very shaky now, I of course havent won yet :p
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: well I might as well play on and try and swindle something, although I hate my position
16.Nd5 (3:43) Bxg4 (0:42) 17.Qe1 (0:16) Qh5+ (0:06)
Boedi(2225) whispers: Just wins a piece
KRMCHESS(2039) whispers: from bad to worse :P Sorry for feeble play :(
